If you’ve spent any time around a PET blowing machine, you know the struggle. You need the preform to hit that perfect temperature—soft enough to mold, but not so hot that you’re burning the plastic. Most ovens use high-voltage rails to keep things efficient across long heating banks. Depending on your setup, we offer tubes from 220V up to 400V. If you need speed, our 2500W tubes pack the kind of heat density that keeps your cycle times tight. Just a heads-up: double-check that your power supplies and contactors can handle the load. You don’t want a blown component killing your momentum mid-shift. The secret is in the glass. We use high-purity quartz filled with halogen gas. Why? Because it lets the filament run hotter than your average IR lamp. This pushes the heat into a short-wave spectrum, which basically means the heat sinks into the PET material much faster. And because we hate wasting time, we stick to R7s and Sk15 connectors. They’re the old reliable of the industry. You can wire them up without messing with your sockets or hunting for new lamp holders. A quick word on the trade-offs. Our coated lamps are designed to reflect heat forward. Instead of heating up your oven walls, the energy goes exactly where it belongs: the preform. It saves a lot of electricity. But there’s a catch. All that concentrated heat makes the tube itself run hotter. If your oven’s airflow is choked or restricted, the quartz can overheat. Keep your ventilation clear, and your filaments will last much longer. We keep these specs ready to ship.
