Usually, the culprit is something simple: power mismatching. It happens when you mix lamps with different wattages or voltage tolerances. It might seem like a small detail, but your machine feels it. We fix this by giving you infrared (IR) lamps that are a perfect match for the SIPA footprint. No guesswork. Just consistent heat. Why the “match” matters Here is the thing about the physics: your oven is wired for a specific voltage—usually 230V or 400V. If a lamp is off by even 5%, the heat density shifts. We keep the filament resistance on a very tight leash. This means every single tube in your oven puts out the exact same amount of heat. When that happens, the preform heats up evenly, and your bottles come out looking exactly how they should. Built for the grind These are shortwave halogen lamps made from high-purity quartz. Why? Because they have to survive the shock of heating up and cooling down over and over again. Depending on which SIPA model you’re running, we use R7s or SK15 connectors. They’re simple drop-in replacements. You just slide them into the existing sockets and you’re done. No rewiring, no headaches. Plus, the halogen cycle stops the tungsten from wearing out too fast, so the light stays steady for thousands of hours. A quick heads-up on cooling There is a trade-off when you use high-wattage lamps to get those fast cycle times. More power means more heat radiating back into the oven housing. If your cooling blowers are clogged with dust or just not working right, these lamps will overheat and burn out way too soon. It’s a simple fix, though. Just keep your vents clear.
