It holds a quartz halogen tube that runs on high voltage, and it’s built to heat up fast—right where the oven space is tight. The whole point is simple: you get the same heat as the original, but you don’t pay extra for a brand name on parts that are, at the element level, identical.
What’s really going on under the hood
Here’s the thing—this unit was designed for one specific job: packing the right amount of heat into a small area. It’s rated at 400V so it pulls steady current across industrial power legs, and it puts out 2500W—just enough heat flux to keep heating cycles moving quickly. The tube is 300mm long, and that wasn’t chosen by accident. It’s long enough to cover the heating zone, but short enough that the bracket stays compact and the lamp stays easy to handle.
Materials and design, kept honest
At the core is a quartz envelope with a tungsten filament—chosen because it stays stable at high heat and responds fast. The halogen cycle helps keep the filament clean by putting evaporated tungsten back where it belongs, which helps the lamp hold its output over time. The R7s connector is a two-pin ceramic interface, built to take the heat and give you a solid mechanical and electrical fit. And the bracket? It holds the tube under tension and keeps it aligned so the heat goes where you need it—no drift, no guesswork.
Where it shines—and what to watch for
On a Krones line, this lamp is usually used in oven sections where PET preforms or containers need steady radiant heat for stretching or heat setting. It’s meant to be a drop-in replacement. You wire it up, set the mounting, and the machine runs without having to rework the fixture. But there’s a trade-off you should know: 2500W at 400V means serious heat density. That means the surrounding electrical insulation and the machine’s cooling need to be properly spec’d. If the oven airflow is too small, the lamp will run hotter at the base, and that can shorten its life. We matched the original quartz and tungsten chemistry, so you get performance that feels like OEM—without the OEM price tag.
